Diego CHECA HIDALGO

Diego is a Spanish historian specialized in contemporary political affairs with a focus on the role of civil society in international politics, especially in nonviolent conflict transformation, international conflict management and socio-environmental conflicts. He held teaching and research positions at the University of Granada (Spain), University of Coventry (UK) and Stellenbosch University (South African Republic). He recently completed a project on socio-environmental conflicts and non-violent interventions supported through the prestigious Marie Curie Fellowship (European Commission).
