Dovile is a Lithuanian international relations scholar specialized in foreign policy analysis, theories of power and international relations theory. Currently, associate professor at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science, Vilnius University and director of the Institute's Russia and Central Eastern European Studies Centre since 2003. Her publications explore the theories of international relations and neighbourhood politics in Europe and she is the author of a book on the concept of neighbourhood in international relations, with a case-study on Russia (Where Russia Begins and Ends: Neighbourhood in International Relations, 2007) and was one of the contributors to the volume Identity and Foreign Policy: Baltic-Russian Relations and European Integration (2009). Her current research projects focus on borders, security studies and identity politics in Europe.
