Following the appointment of Mr.Dacian Cioloş as Commissioner, the topic of the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP) has gained a lot of attention in Romania. But why does the European Union have an agricultural policy? How does it work? How do ordinary citizens benefit from it? How much money does it cost? Is it cheap or is it expensive? To such questions answered Mr. John Mc Clintock, a British citizen and an official of the European Union currently working in the Directorate General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) in Brussels. Mr. Mc Clintock studied agriculture at the University of Reading and agricultural economics at the University of Oxford.
Designed mostly for political science studens, the event was organized jointly by the EC Representation in Romania and the ProRISE program.
