Tea with a Diplomat

Goal

Introduce students to first hand practice of professional diplomacy, negotiations, diplomatic protocol, lobby and other foreign affairs related issues.

Students of international relations usually get their first contact with the complex world of international politics through academic readings and seldom have they the opportunity to interact with professionals and understand the daily activities within this field directly from them. This program offers such opportunities through targeted talks in an informal environment.

Format

Informal guest lecture /Q&A sessions with former and current staff members of various Ministries of Foreign Affairs and international organizations (usually not open to the public).

Type of activities

Small, informal discussions with former and current diplomats and practitioners of international politics/foreign affairs, at a cup of tea.
